I don't know why anyone would take offense to this; Urban says "pure ability to throw the football". Burrow wasn't the best in college football physically, last year. He wasn't the best at LSU physically last year. You're talking about running drills and watching a guy's arm.

Joe Brady took Joe from 4th round pick to Montana and Brady comparisons

Joe Burrow took Brady from one step above a Grad Asst., to an NFL OC.

Not sure why people are giving Urban shite for this answer

Because they are idiots. Sure Burrow has the Peyton Manning mindset, but Haskins is still a better natural passer of the football. That's all Urban is saying. LSU fans though take anything that isn't sticking a sunshine stick up their arse, as disrespect.

I bet he was an awesome passer... In highschool

I think the best decision Meyer ever made was to pick Haskins over Joe.

Would have been called a racist for saying Tebow so just avoided it

He benched Burrow for Haskins, so of course he wants to sound like that was the right decision. And I am not saying it wasnt the right decision at the time, I am saying that after a season like Burrow had last season a lot of OSU fans question it.

Well I can't give him shite for that. I wanted Haskins badly to go to LSU when he had interest in us. Watching him go through some of those QB gauntlets in high school, he looked so freaking talented and natural. He's a future star.

Meyer never bothered to watch Burrow throw in high school. Tom Herman recruited Burrow, but Meyer never found time to watch Burrow in high school. Meyer immediately signed Burrow when he found out that Saban was scheduled to fly up to Athens to recruit Burrow (according to Jimmy Burrow in an Off the Bench interview)

That’s how recruiting works, once one major school offers interests skyrockets. That’s not a burrow thing

"That’s how recruiting works"... Miss the point much? Meyer traveled to see Haskins, but Herman couldn't get Meyer to take an hour out of his day to watch Burrow. Meyer never understood what makes Burrow great - still doesn't get it.

Meyer offense relied on dual threat QB. Burrow is awesome and I am glad he went to an LSU offense that could showcase his talent, but he is not a dual threat QB. He is a tough as nails pocket passer that can run as a last resort. I will cheer for him for the duration of his career.

Now we know why he never played Burrow. He never saw him play. He was too busy covering up player's and coaches crimes.

He’s just lying because Haskins needs support as start in Washington. He was dogshit there last season.

Yeah no agenda there; but LSU benefited the most from Urbs eye for talent.

Rookie season... but ok we'll see how Burrows rookie season goes first.

Talent, sure. No denying Haskins has talent. Give me Burrow. He has something better than talent. Intangibles.

"Most talented high school QB he's ever seen"...Burrow was definitely NOT the most talented HS QB that Urban (or anyone else) had seen. Coming out of college, obviously Burrow is way, way ahead of Haskins but this has nothing to do with this article. While we're at it, give me P. Manning, Brady, Brees, Joe Montana, etc. over Haskins.
