Well, something like this was going to happen to someone. Some of these kids make their announcements into circus sideshows. I'm not saying this young man did, but still.

For what it's worth, it looks like this announcement was at his high school in front of a local feed, not a national spotlight, at a time when a bunch of other student-athletes were also making their decisions on where to go to college. It was an event put on by the high school to honor these kids, not an event put on by these kids to blow their own horn.
