different people heal differently but you can generally say he will be out an entire year.

Worst news he could get would be a complete tear, whereas the calf muscle would roll up the back of the leg and the Achilles would be down at the bottom of the ankle. I've had a partial tear and was walking in 6 weeks no surgery. I'm not a doctor, but if a window blind was being help down by a rubber band and that rubber band failed, I think it would look just like this.

Right but walking as a normal dude and making athletic basketball moves at 6'9 240 full speed are not even remotely close to the same thing. Dude may never be the same.
