"Mike Trout has homered tonight. Shohei Ohtani is 3-3 with a home run, 2 doubles and a walk. And the Angels trail 10-4" - from the same game. The Angels have wasted our generations best baseball player.

He plays CF. It's the little things that distract the reader from your posts. Maybe it is on purpose but they might be giving you too much credix.

doesn't the pitching coach get paid to figure this shite out about his own players? It takes an outfielder to show them???

It likely means he has to pull his glove away from his body to grip a specific pitch. Gloves stays next to body for fastball, but gloves comes off the body to grip his curveball. Therefore, the batter just watches if glove moves and knows what is coming.

I mean everyone that pitches needs to grip the ball differently for different pitches. You don’t have to be frickin obvious about it though. Especially a major leaguer. If you can grip the ball for a curveball without doing moving your glove around, you are a fricking weirdo.
