I was in Memphis for the Beale Street Music Festival in 2017. I was sitting by a window in a restaurant a few blocks from the venue. I looked out the window and noticed an usually tall man walking down the sidewalk by himself. When he stopped to cross the street I realized that it was indeed The Big Unit.

Soundgarden was playing the festival that Sunday night. I understood that he was friends with the band, I assume from his days playing in Seattle. 11 short days later Chris Cornell took his own life (allegedly). I know, CSB...
