MLB Considering 3-City Hub 'Bubbles' For Playoffs
© Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
We've all seen how the MLB season has struggled thus far with players breaking rules, going out and getting sick, which has led a ton of games getting canceled. Meanwhile the NBA and NHL have been thriving in their bubbles. So, the MLB might be creating a bubble situation for the playoffs...
quote:

they've had "preliminary discussions" about implementing the same system for the playoffs following a series of outbreaks with at least 2 MLB teams.

The league would need 3 cities to accommodate the 16-team playoff format, according to Jeff Passan.

Passan says Southern California, Chicago and NYC would make the most sense for hub cities because of issues like weather, stadium availability and lodging.

No official decision has been made yet -- but playoffs are set to begin on Sept. 27 ... so clock's ticking!

i hope all of MLB ends up being cancelled. they have aligned themselves and support the marxist organization BLM. hopefully the NBA will soon follow. once considered one of the most patriotic pastimes in the USA. now one the most anti-American sports entertainment organizations. the players who kneel deserve every bit of ridicule that comes their way.

They will play at retractable roof style parks in the warm weather. I would say Houston, Miami, Arizona and Texas are all solid candidates. Covid numbers of course not withstanding.

LA, Chicago, and NYC. The three armpits of the country.

Weather? Lol. Yeah cause Chicago and NYC always have beautiful weather come playoff time. Other cities don't have lodging? Just say it's because they have two stadiums. Who comes up with these dumbass statements?

I'll take a flying leap and say somehow they'll end up bitching about money.

Lol. Should’ve done it in the regular season as well. Classic MLB. A day late and a dollar short.
