Ump turns around and 3 balls are rolling to the backstop. Ouch.

What is the catcher doing there?

Looks like he got crossed up thinking breaking ball to the outside. Pitcher threw a tailing inside fastball instead. Was strange to see him jerk his head away though.

Two balls and one strike (a hard strike, too) in one pitch

When crossing up your catcher goes really wrong. It's difficult to catch a 97 mph tailing fastball when you are expecting an 85mph slider that's should break sharply in the opposite direction.

A catcher that's scared to catch the ball? Weird.
