University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe announced his resignation on Monday morning amid criticism of his handling of student race complaints and discrimination.

Several Missouri football players announced Sunday that they would boycott if Wolfe did not resign.

His hands were tied. Many don't realize the implications a strike would have had on Missouri. It would have been a death sentence in recruiting and they would have taken a huge hit financially from not playing games.
