Former Tigers await their fate at the NFL Draft

The 2009 NFL Draft takes place this weekend at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The draft is scheduled to begin at 3pm CT. Tyson Jackson is expected to be the first LSU Tiger picked, with draft experts predicting that he will be picked up by the Denver Broncos with the 12th pick of the first round. Other Tigers expecting to get drafted include linebacker Darry Beckwith, center Brett Helms, defensive end Kirston Pittman, defensive tackle Marlon Favorite, guard Herman Johnson and defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois.
WR Demetrius Byrd is still hospitalized after his car accident on Sunday morning in Miami. The latest reports state that he is still being monitored in the ICU at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical but stable condition.
