LSU safeties coach is expected to remain on Lane Kiffin's staff after reports surfaced last week that he would be departing Baton Rouge for a job in the NFL with the Washington Commanders.

Matt Zenitz reports that Olsen initially accepted the position with the Commanders, but Kiffin was able to retain him.

Olsen has spent the past two seasons at LSU after following Blake Baker from Missouri in 2024.

More Money$? If so, he deserves it IMO. Great for Blake and the defense, keep that continuity.

Man, we are on a hot streak of offseason Ws.

Remember when we used to have to convince ourselves we had a good offseason? There is no creeping doubt this year.

That's great. Keep all those great coaches and things are bound to develop nicely

The only thing he could do is offer more money. Olsen can't go higher than a DB coach in the NFL at this point in his career. No hate on Olsen, but I was really looking forward to Raymond coaching the whole unit like we did before Ed O brought in Busch. Busch did bring us Burrow IIRC, so he earned his keep on top of his decent handling of the safeties.
