Report: Lane Kiffin Is Promoting Front Office Staffer JR Belton

LSU’s Director of Football Operations JR Belton is reportedly being promoted to Assistant General Manager, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Belton, a Ruston, La. native, played college football at Louisiana Tech and joined LSU's staff in 2021 under former head coach Ed Orgeron.

Belton served as LSU's director of scouting in 2021 and was elevated to director of recruiting upon Brian Kelly’s arrival in 2022. He was promoted to Director of Football Operations in January of 2025.
