LSU freshman offensive tackle Will Campbell was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his dominant performance in the Tigers 45-35 win over Florida.

The honor comes just one week after Campbell was hospitalized and missed the Tennessee game. Per SEC:
quote:

Will Campbell, LT, LSU

-Anchored LSU offense that racked up 28 first downs, 528 yards and 45 points in road win over Florida.

-Just a true freshman, played all 70 offensive snaps vs. Florida, not allowing a sack or QB pressure ... LSU averaged 4.7 yards per rush and converted 8-of-12 third-down opportunities and the Tigers were 2-of-2 on fourth-down chances.

-Help pave the way for 100-yard rusher Josh Williams (106 yards on 17 carries), who averaged 7.6 yards a rush.

-Starter in both wins at Auburn and Florida, marking the first time LSU has swept both teams on the road in same season in school history.

Will has been surprisingly outstanding this entire season. I'm excited to see this kid vs Will Anderson. I think he's going to surprise some people.

So very proud of this young man. Wow, Will is a true freshman player and already out playing Juniors and Seniors that play for the
opponents team. I’m so happy Will was able to return to action on the OLine. I can not wait to see the total domination that he will display in his Junior year.

It’s been awhile since lsu has had this level of star power on the oline.

I gotta say, I’m sensing an Alan Faneca type talent…..
