Today during the SEC Coaches Teleconference, LSU head coach Les Miles commented on Leonard Fournette’s performance on Saturday against Wisconsin and wants to lower the hype and expectations around the highly touted freshman. Per CBS Sports:
Against Wisconsin, Fournette ran the ball eight times for 18 yards and returned five kicks for 117 yards.

“He did great,” Miles told reporters. “First games are not to be comparable to his 30th game, Expectations are unrealistic. Can you imagine that somebody would comment on how you played your first game as a true freshman? To say it was anything other than exactly what we needed – this is a mistake.”
