Former LSU wide receiver Kadron Boone & fullback J.C. Copeland will play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this Saturday, and practices for the game are taking place this week. During practice, ESPN's Quint Kessenich got a chance to interview J.C. Copeland. Here's how it went:
quote:
Quint Kessenich: How would you best describe your blocking style?
J.C. Copeland: I like to punish people so I like to knock people out.
QK: The biggest lesson you have learned this week?
JC: To be aggressive. Be more aggressive than everybody else on the field.
QK: What's the biggest challenge that you faced?
JC: Try not to kill somebody, pretty much.
QK: Looking forward to Saturday's game. Coach just played you at tight end, is that something new or different for you?
JC: Yeah it's new but you need to be able to adapt to anything they throw at you. I mean I'm a player of the game I can do it.
QK: What did you weigh in at the other day?
JC: 285 lbs.
QK: What's your target weight?
JC: I want to get down to 260 lbs.
QK: 260?
JC: Yes sir.
QK: And that means avoiding?
JC: All the fast foods and bad food for you. Eat real healthy now.
QK: For a tough guy you play with a smile.
JC: Yes sir.
