Former LSU linebacker Mike Jones Jr. has reportedly joined the Tigers' staff as a defensive analyst, according to Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports.

Jones Jr. spent the first three years of his college career at Clemson and played against the Tigers in the 2019 National Championship Game.

The Nashville, Tenn., native transferred to LSU in 2021 and was captain on the 2022 team.

The Tigers also recently added Ryan Alexander (offensive analyst) and Marc St. Felix (defensive analyst) to the staff.

Love it. Was always a nice, hard working kid. I still want to know what happened with jacoby and why he got fired
