It was widely known that LSU and Florida were heavily pushing to hire Lane Kiffin away from Ole Miss for their open head coaching jobs.

But during his introductory press conference at LSU on Monday, Kiffin revealed that he actually had four options.

According to ESPN, the fourth school was Florida State:
quote:

The coaches discussed four options: Remain at Ole Miss, where they had built a legitimate College Football Playoff contender; leave for SEC rivals Florida or LSU; or take over Florida State, which according to people with knowledge of the search, was making a stealth move to poach Kiffin.
If Florida State was pursuing Kiffin, they were doing so behind Mike Norvell's back. The Seminoles finished 5-7 this season and retained Norvell.

Just watching the recent articles at ESPN, it don't seem like they like our new coach too much!
