ESPN College Football writers recently predicted what the season-defining game will be for all 68 power-conference teams in 2026.

LSU faces another gauntlet of high-profile games next season, but Andrea Adelson thinks that the Nov. 14 matchup vs. Texas will define the season for the Tigers:

LSU Tigers

Nov. 14 vs. Texas. It would have been easy to pick the Ole Miss matchup, but it is hard to pick games in September as season-defining. Alabama or Tennessee would fit the bill here, too. But given where this game falls in the schedule -- and the preseason CFP expectations for both teams -- this could be the one that ultimately defines the season for the Tigers. -- Andera Adelson
Here's LSU's full schedule next season. What do you think?

Sep 5 vs. Clemson
Sep 12 vs. Louisiana Tech
Sep 19 at Ole Miss
Sep 26 vs. Texas A&M
Oct 3 vs. McNeese State
Oct 10 at Kentucky
Oct 17 vs. Mississippi St.
Oct 24 at Auburn
Nov 7 vs. Alabama
Nov 14 vs. Texas
Nov 21 at Tennessee
Nov 28 at Arkansas

I'm sure our season will be defined well before the 10th game. Ole Miss. A&M. are the obvious answers.

Nah. Going into that game at 8-1 or 7-2 could decide the SEC championship and playoff standing. I really don't think Tennessee will be all that good. Playing them and Arkansas to close out will only be difficult based on them being away games.

I understand not wanting to pick the obvious games as a journalist but the back to back games of Ole Miss and A&M will define this season. Won those games and the Lane era officially has liftoff. Lose both of them and unless we go undefeated the rest of the season it will be hard to fi d traction.

When considering recent years, Clemson will be a defining game. We have become accustomed to wondering what was being done in the off-season to justify seeing an unprepared team. I feel and hope this team will be better prepared to play.
