Per LSU: BATON ROUGE – LSU’s defense held Louisiana Tech to just 154 yards of total offense and seven points to power the No. 3 Tigers over the Bulldogs, 23-7, on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

Wide receiver Barion Brown received the game ball for the Tigers after catching eight receptions for 94 yards. Senior linebacker West Weeks led the team in tackles with 10 to go along with a sack.

With the win, LSU improves to 2-0 overall. The Tigers will return to Death Valley next Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. kick on ABC against No. 13 Florida.

The offense has proved that they are excellent and can play with anyone. I expect that to continue all season as long as the players stay injury free. Baker does a great job of using his players to put pressure from all directions.
How far this team goes this season depends on how far the offense can develop, especially the running game. Opponents have found a way to limit the push our offensive line can have. Until Sloan and Hankton can find a way to counter this, our running game will depend on occasional long bursts instead of consistent 4 plus gains behind a strong running game

That’s why rankings are pointless this early. People like you think they should erase teams when they have a good ranking beside them. LA Tech played extremely good football. LSU played good too.
