Clemson tight end Ian Schieffelin was arrested last weekend and charged with suspicion of DUI.

On Tuesday morning, Schieffelin released a statement through his attorney announcing that his DUI charge was dismissed, but that he had accepted a ticket for reckless driving.

Schieffelin also revealed that he will be suspended for Saturday’s opener vs. LSU.

Schieffelin played basketball at Clemson over the past four seasons and joined the football team in the offseason. Dabo Swinney previously said that he expected Schieffelin to contribute on offense this season.

Damn so I can get a DUI knocked down to a reckless driving ticket ? How was he arrested for a DUI and booked if he didn’t show any signs of impairment or alcohol in his system?
