During his weekly press conference on Monday, head coach Brian Kelly confirmed that Jacobian Guillory suffered a season-ending Achilles injury vs. Nicholls and had surgery on Monday.
Kelly said they are now talking with Guillory and his family about seeking a medical redshirt and returning to the team in 2025.
As for his replacement, Kelly said that Shone Washington is the next man up and they were happy with his performance vs. Nicholls after Guillory went out.
They will also discuss activating five-star freshman Dominick McKinley and moving him along faster. Another option is moving one of the defensive ends to the inside of the D-line.
"We will try to do some other things differently to complement the guys that we have," Kelly said."
