Following practice on Thursday, head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters and was asked about five-star freshman tight end Trey'Dez Green.

Green, a 6-7 245-pound from Jackson, La. (Zachary HS), is already making great strides adjusting to college ball, and his physical size has undoubtedly helped, Kelly said.
quote:

"We'll he certainly looks the part," Kelly said,

"He controls his body really well, has a great deal of confidence, and doesn't look out of place physically."

"He's picked things up really well for a guy that has not played this game very long. It has not been a difficult transition for him, and that bodes well for players in their first year."

"From my experience, guys who transition quickly, and with his physical attributes, tend to show up real quick. And he certainly looks the part."

Today's great players always have an apostrophe in their first names.

The same people ridiculing his name wonder why some of our 4 and 5 star kids cross the border and leave the state, despite the coaches doing a wonderful job recruiting them. It is because of people like you. We all understand the undertone related to making fun of his name, while CBK, an SEC coach with two consecutive 10 win seasons is paying the kid a compliment! What’s stupid is calling a hard working kids name stupid, when he played no part in getting his name and he is working his butt off, while representing your team in a positive light.
