During his Tuesday press conference, head coach Brian Kelly said Aaron Anderson will remain LSU's starter at punt returner despite some of the issues he had in his debut vs. Florida State.
quote:

"He's going to stay back there," Kelly said. "Look, he needs to catch the football. It's the fundamentals with him: High hands, elbows in, square platform. The stuff we talk about on Day 1."

"He goes back to these old beliefs of 'I'm better than everybody, and I can just do it.' And that just doesn't work. Especially when you have guys running down the field, and they are on you before you know it. And then you make a slight move, and you are off-centered and the ball can squirt out."

"So we just have to get him to be more disciplined and keep working with him. He's a young player. We're not kicking him out of the club."
Kelly added that once Anderson settles in at punt return the natural progression would be to get him more involved in the offense.

He’s a WR? How are we going to get him more involved. I hope he’s been practicing his 5 yrd hitch and 7 yrd out routes. That’s about all our QB can/will throw

Can he even throw those routes?

Good to see Coach Kelly isn't sending Aaron to the doghouse yet. We need to fricking block on our return teams.

Clayton made a risky catch on the first punt return. Then Anderson muffed his and I believe Clayton got the rest of the punts after that.
So why is he going to start Anderson again?
Maybe he is trying to get his confidence up with Grambling.

Yall remember two weeks ago when he couldn't remember Aaron's name??? Now he throwing him under the bus... you killed the kids confidence when he was named starter a week ago and then you told him pregame he ain't starting. Then threw him to the wolves and said go be a star!
