LSU head coach Lane Kiffin and running back coach Kevin Smith headed to Booger McFarland's old stomping grounds of Winnsboro, La., on Friday.

Both coaches stopped at Franklin Parish High School and met with Patriots head coach Adrian Burnette and three-star running back Trey Martin.

Martin, a 5-10, 185-pound prospect, is ranked the No. 3 running back in Louisiana for 2027. He was previously a target for Kiffin and Smith at Ole Miss. Now, they will look to get him to LSU.

That’s good…LSU has neglected north LA since the days of Don Shows at west Monroe. There are some damn good ball players up there that ole miss and bama grab in a heartbeat.
