Cincinnati transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby is expected to visit LSU, according to multiple reports on Friday.

Sorsby passed for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Per The Advocate:

Sorsby, a redshirt junior with one year of eligibility remaining, is considered one of the top available quarterbacks in the transfer portal. He first has a visit scheduled Friday to Texas Tech.

In the past two seasons combined, Sorsby threw for 5,613 yards with 45 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,027 yards and 18 touchdowns since starting his college career at Indiana.

New head coach Lane Kiffin has to replace senior quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who started for most of the past two seasons. When Nussmeier sat out the last four games with an abdominal injury, LSU started sophomore quarterback Michael Van Buren.

It, generally, takes two years for a QB to master an offensive scheme and gel with WR’s. Need a young guy, as well.

Ole Miss qb may go to the nfl. He is probably going to be denied an extra year of eligibility by the ncaa anyway.
