New LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda and special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto hit the recruiting trail on Tuesday night and visited with current LSU defensive end commit Rahssan Thornton from Killeen, TX.

This was Thornton's first chance to meet with Aranda who was recently hired to replaced former DC Kevin Steele.

The 6-4, 223-pound prospect from Shoemaker High School could play defensive end or linebacker at the next level. He committed to LSU back in June over Texas and TCU.
