LSU RB Commit Clyde Edwards-Helaire Has Reopened His Recruitment

every time a recruit farts crooked they have to sit down and write a damn love letter about it.

I hate to sound like an a-hole, but I don't think this would be a big loss at all. He could hardly stay healthy in high school and that's obviously against smaller players/weaker competition. I don't think he is a "SEC caliber" RB. Unless he just comes in as a change of pace back and a special teams player. Also, as mentioned below, he had a lot of negative plays in the all star game. I realize some of that is on the line, but he couldn't make anyone miss and can hardly break tackles. IMO, he should be playing at Tech or ULL.

I think this is just the nature of the business nowadays. We've had multiple recruits do this in the last few weeks, only to firm up their commitment to LSU a week or two later. Hope we get Akers and keep Helaire. Neither will beat out Guice, Williams or Brossette. But they will be valuable the following season.

Alright, Cam Akers. If this doesn't pave the way for an obvious decision to come to LSU nothing will. Still, I like this kid and hope we can keep him.

Check his twitter, there is video of him talking about how he talked to Canda the day he was hired and went over how he fits into the system......it made him feel special??........so feeling special and not being a priority is not the same thing. We not BAMA or Ole Piss.....there ain't no handouts!!!

Watched him the last 2 years.....not SEC talent. I have a feeling Miles wanted him but O wants him to move on.

not gonna hurt my feelings. alot of negative plays in allstar game. there's a reason that he only has one other offer from a major school.

He still heading to Death Valley. He just gonna hit some of these free visits. Nothing new, every recruit does this. Commits to the school they love, decommits so they can take advantage of the free visits, then signs with the school they originally wanted to go to. Is there a possibility that he flips? Of course. But not likely. No one is going to put together a better presentation than LSU for a guy that already has aspirations to play for the Bayou Bengals. Geaux Tigers!
