LSU's recruitment of Houston safety AJ Haulcy is heating up.

Haulcy, a junior from Houston, Texas, spent the past two seasons with the Cougars after playing his freshman season at New Mexico.

He had 74 tackles and five interceptions last year and was a first-team All-Big 12 selection last season.

Haulcy entered the transfer portal on April 21 and has LSU, Miami, and SMU as his top three schools as of Thursday evening. The Hurricanes landed a commitment from former Tennessee safety Jakobe Thomas on Thursday, which bodes well for LSU.

It has been reported that Haulcy will visit Baton Rouge this weekend.

The last question mark for the defense might just be answered. This guy seems to have the stats. Hopefully he's anxious to be part of the next LSU National Championship calibre team

Thomas just paved the way to BR. Quality 4 man rotation at safety with this guy. This is the last piece for Blake.

Hells yes! We haven't had that kind of play at Safety for several years.
