The LSU coaching staff made an in-home visit with talented four-star pass rusher K'Lavon Chaisson on Friday by showing up at his house in Houston, TX around 5 am.

Coaches had to get in there early before Chaisson left for his official visit to Florida.

The 6-4, 215-pound prospect from North Shore High School is rated the No. 3 weak-side defensive end in the country and the No. 3 overall player from the state of Texas for the class of 2017, according to 247Sports.

LSU and Texas are Chaisson's top schools and the Longhorn coaching staff visited him on Thursday night.

I really don't know why any player would not want to learn defense from Dave Aranda. Top 10 everywhere he's been. I think we have an excellent shot at Chaisson. I can see a dominant defense every year with Aranda. Great players want to be a part of historic teams. I really feel the pieces are in place for a solid run in the foreseeable future! Geaux Tigers!
