LSU landed a commitment from Baylor athlete Mason Dossett on Friday night, according to multiple reports.

The Missouri City, Texas, native made the switch from safety to wide receiver last bowl season and also excelled on the track team at Baylor.

He is expected to play safety at LSU.

Dossett is LSU's 37th commitment from the transfer portal, and 3rd safety to join the Tigers this offseason.

shut up man. you know how much therapy I’ve had to go through to recover from that day?

Let’s just call it delayed gratification.

Bottom line is we’ve earned it.

Mason's father Martin played at Baylor in like 1997-2000. His Dad's 1st game as an 18-yr freshman out of Gregory-Portland HS was against Miami. Martin was best high hurdler in country as a senior in HS so naturally Baylor made him the starting Kick returner. 1st kickoff Martin fielded the ball on the run at like 5 yd line and was at full speed and got hit so hard by a member of the Miami kick coverage team that Martin hobbled off the field to the Miami sideline. They actually had a time out so that Baylor trainer and team doctor could retrieve him from Miami sideline. He suffered a concussion on 1st play in college. Had a good career at Baylor in both football and track. His son has some speed too....13.2 in 110 high hurdles is quick.
