Four-star tight end Jamal Pettigrew has committed to LSU for the class of 2016.


The 6-6, 215-pound tight end from New Orleans, LA (St. Augustine) is rated as the 12th best player in the state of Louisiana and the 6th best tight end in the country.

Pettigrew holds offers from Arizona State, Florida, Ole Miss, TCU, Tennessee and Texas A&M as well as others.

He won't play til 2017 because he needs to pack on weight like Washington, but I love getting these receiver types and turning them into big WR targets. After seeing what Smith did against notre Dame (4 rec 66 yards) I think we will get a lot of production out of these guys next year).

Frank can sell ice to an Eskimo. With the addition of Pettigrew LSU has got to have the best collection of tightends in college football. Amazing!
