Former LSU star Kade Anderson picked up the first win of his Major League career Wednesday afternoon with an impressive performance for the Seattle Mariners.
Anderson tossed six innings against the Texas Rangers, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out five and walking one in Seattle's 3-2 victory. The only run he surrendered came on a solo home run by Jake Burger in the second inning.
The 22-year-old left-hander improved to 1-1 through his first four MLB starts after making his Major League debut on Aug. 22. Anderson was selected No. 3 overall by Seattle in the 2025 MLB Draft after a dominant final season at LSU.
