LSU Baseball coach Jay Johnson is set to receive a new contract that will pay him more than $3 million per year after winning his second national title in three years, according to The Advocate.
Johnson's new deal will make him the highest-paid college baseball coach in the country, surpassing Tony Vitello at Tennessee.

Johnson's is set to make $23.45 million over the next seven years with an annual salary that now tops $3 million. He got a two-year extension, so his contract will run through the 2032 season.
Johnson last received a new contract after he won his first national title in 2023, which made him one of the highest-paid college baseball coaches in the country. He made $1.67 million last year before bonuses, and his compensation was set to increase annually until he earned $2 million in 2030.
Johnson will now make $3.05 million over the next year. His compensation increases by $100,000 annually until it reaches $3.65 million in the final year of the contract.
