The LSU coaching staff received some good news on late Sunday when right-handed pitcher Cole McKay confirmed his commitment to LSU and will enroll in school in August.

McKay announced the news via Twitter:

Projected as a top-100 draft pick, McKay informed all MLB teams that he will honor his commitment to LSU. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

"I reached a decision a couple of days ago through a lot of prayer," said the 6-foot-5, 225-pound native of Spring Branch in South Texas. He starred at Smithson Valley High near San Antonio.

"My parents were involved in the process and we all just felt like the Lord was leading me to LSU. With my family's support, I just feel like it was the wise decision for me."
