Per SEC Sports: Kentucky suffered an upset at the hands of St. Peter's in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, losing 85-79 in overtime.
Kellen Grady hit a 3-pointer with 49 seconds left in regulation to give the Wildcats a 71-69 lead, but it did not hold up after Doug Edert countered by hitting a game-tying jumper with 24 seconds left, ultimately forcing OT.
In the extra session, 15-seed St. Peter's outscored the heavily-favored Wildcats, who were a No. 2 seed, 14-8, to take the victory.
