Check out Topeka Seaman High School pitcher Hunter Hesseltine pulled off one the sneakiest pickoff moves you'll see in the Kansas 5A quarterfinal baseball game...

The center fielder made that happen. Pitcher just tagged the kid.

That was the pitcher, ss, and cf that made that happen. Had to be a designed play executed to perfection.

That's some funny stuff right there. The Seaman was holding the ball.

We did this at 1B and 2B as freshman in HS. We used it on the same team in back to back games. It worked on both occasions. The one at first is even better bc the dugout gets involved.

So is this something the players do on their own or is it something that's practiced and called by the HC? I'm not a baseball guy so to speak but it seems like this is usually called "bush league" when I've seen it done in the past? Just wondering what the true "baseball purists" would call it? FWIW just to be clear Im all for winning and getting the 27 outs by any means necessary.

Why would the kid leave the base not knowing where the ball was?
