Well, at least he didn't make a big production out of it or anything..

Exactly. If he was selfless he wouldn't have posted the entire interaction on social media. Instead he did this for himself. He received attention and praise. This was in no way a selfless good deed.

Who cares? At least he did something to help someone else.

Wow what a great kid. Just did it to help another human being out. Not looking for any praise or anything, just wanting to help. It's amazing we even caught wind of this or a kind humanitarian gesture could have gone unnoticed. I wonder who saw him do this and brought it to light???

Enabling the homeless is the single reason homelessness exist. Maybe if the guy would get off his arse and use his hands for something other than holding them out for free shite he'd be able to get his own damn shoes

This is true in about 25% of cases. Many are mentally Ill, disbabled, amo get other things. I wake up every day thanking God that I don't have such a narrow view of the world. What I have a problem with is the shameless self promotion while doing such a good thing.

nice deed, but why did he announce it? Takes the shine off of the act. But still a good deed.

Props to the kid for helping others. However, someone hasn't told him not to promote his good deeds. But he's a kid and learning. Headed in the right direction.
