Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin announced Thursday that Gators head coach Billy Napier will return next season.

Napier was thought to be on the hot seat coming into his third year as head coach this season.

The Gators are currently 4-4 (2-3 SEC) with games at Texas, vs. Florida, vs. Ole Miss, and at Florida State to finish the season.

The reality is those kids are playing really, really hard for him. That shows they have bought in. This is not surprising.

Stricklin should have used Napier's quote, "We are doing this regardless of the outcome." What will his position be if the Gators lose to Texas, LSU, Ole Miss and maybe to the worse FSU team in recent memory? UF has accepted mediocrity as the norm for the football program. It is time to clean house beginning with the AD.

Losses to Texas and Ole Miss. Win over Fla State. Pretty sure they lose to Florida. They’ve been beating themselves for years.

they've actually played pretty well this year, considering. They have a brutal schedule, so their record was never going to be good this year, and they should've beaten Tennessee, and played UGA tight (with their 3rd string QB).

They both suck, and should both be fired.

Mickey would say it’s not just the results that matters.
