When some opposing fan calls me a corndog I always smile and say oh yeah, I love a good corndog! Don’t you? And they usually have to admit that they actually do haha. Then I tell them how I wish you could get one at LSU because I have never seen one ever on the LSu campus. It’s always boudin and jambalaya and etouffee and steaks and shrimp. Totally destroys the “insult.”

Clemson fans were cordial that I saw and I never saw a single one being Tigerbaited which I found unusual.
When I got to Lafayette hotel two Clemson fans walked in while I was checking in. I turned to look at them and said, oh man, that was a brutal game for you guys. They dejectedly agreed. I asked if there was any thought given by Clemson fans to move on from Dabo and they said it doesn’t matter who your coach is you can’t win if you’re playing against NFL players. Of course I agreed, remarking almost everyone on the team will be playing in the NFL soon. That seemed to surprise them. Then they said they guessed it didn’t matter what your graduation rate is as long as you can win games. Of course I heartily agreed again. That also not being what they expected to hear they said the whole college football thing is totally messed up with the NIL and portal. Again I agreed completely and said we have so much in common. :)

This. The SEC appears to have arbitrarily set the rule to be directly affecting LSU and only LSU. They could have just as easily said no NFl players who would have had eligibility remaining who have made any team’s 53-man roster and no one would be arguing about anything.

Old man! I was also a fresh and that was my first game. Didn’t realize it was such a big deal until it got so loud before the game I couldn’t study in my Hatcher dorm room. Decided I might as well go to the game. That’s when I became a Tiger fan.
We haven’t sung the actual words to neck in 20 years.
Appreciate the sentiment but Ole Miss never has been classy so they can’t stay that way.
The missus and I were there for those two games. I told her we could go to the first game we would lose then we could go sightseeing around Omaha the next day before coming home. Imagine our surprise. So we stayed the next day and won again. My wife decided we should stay for the Fla games but we were leaving for Maine on Wednesday already and just didn’t have time. She says it’s my fault we didn’t win 2017 lol.

To be fair, having a bear AND a shark AND a Rebel as a mascot is ridiculous also. There’s really no mother******* reason for that either. And the shark fin on the head sign is really dumb.

If SEC had a tie in with the Reliant Energy Bowl again and LSU came it would be sold out twice over. Plenty LSU baws in the 318.
That’s right, Archi and Lane are very different kind of people. Archie Manning just comes off as a narcissistic jerk. Lane appears to be much nicer.
I am not for paying players unless it’s the same for all student athletes men and women at your school. If someone does extra duties they can be paid a bit more - like if they organize practice etc. Won’t need any NIL $ and ticket prices can drop to a reasonable level. Coaches salaries would decline as well.

Five years ago my wife asked who he was and I said he’s a real jerk of a guy and coach. Why, she asked. So I told her some of the shenanigans with coaching changes and trash talking. Two years ago I mentioned I liked him now and he seemed to have changed. Still had a bit of a troll in him but not hurtful. And I respected what he did at Ole Miss even though I completely HATE GTHOM. I had no idea he would be our coach but he proved himself at a smaller school so why not move up to the big time? He was my second choice this year after St Nick.
Why would anyone outside of LSU celebrate a new coach for LSU? I know I’m not celebrating any other team’s coach.
