Auburn defensive coordinator Derek Mason has reportedly "emerged as a strong candidate" for the Oklahoma State DC job, according to College Football Insider Bruce Feldman.

Mason just wrapped up his first season as Auburn's defensive coordinator. He was the head coach at Vanderbilt from 2014-2020 before that.

I'd want him if I was OSU, too. Why would he go?

This would be a rock solid stupid move on Auburns part. Mason is a solid DC and a more than adequate Head Coach for 80% of programs. Does shite the right way, raises men not entitled pussies, his players play hard for him.

Lol lateral move to a big 12 school? Does Auburn want? If they do, I don’t see a way this could happen. Though might help us get the dt that just recommitted from them

It’s not lateral… it’s a downgrade.
