A lot of Nick Saban stats get tossed as the Alabama head coach gets older, this impressive one was dropped prior to last night's NFL Draft... (The Spun)

That really is impressive though. I suggest he retire on those laurels

Another viral Saban stat: Saban lost to Kirby 33-18

I could be mistaken, but I thought this years draft brought the number of first rounders to 41 ? Saban = GOAT & he aint done yet folks. He almost won a title last year amidst a total rebuild which is just mind boggling, and this years team could possibly be one of his best so...

How many of those were busts?

irrelevant. he put them in a great position to get them there. once drafted, why is it saban's job to make sure they succeed? tons of issues can surface to determine a player's success at the pro level (determination, right system, injuries, etc)

Less than half the average for all other schools.

MJackson...i get what you're saying but there's also something to be said for the player having an inflated rating due to success at bama. There's countless numbers of players there (seemingly more than other places) that receive awards for their performance and then never amount to much in the NFL. You don't have to look further than the QBs...lot easier to look good when you're playing at bama versus Western KY or Cal or MS State. Just saying it shouldn't be ingnored.

Is this supposed to be a surprising stat?

No, it's supposed to be an impressive stat like Larry said.

LOL at the downvotes. Any Coach that wins that many National Championships will have a ton of First Round picks. Comparing the number of first round picks to losses is silly.
