This kind of thing is not surprising with the NIL rules. Kid could have issues with his grades, so going to a school like JS to get some training from Sanders for a couple of yrs helps too. Then get into the transfer portal. NIL and transfer portal changed the recruiting game, so a move like this for a kid isn't as big of a deal for a couple of years. Question is if Sanders is an Xs and Os or Jimmy and Joe's kind of coach.

If you’re not a Jimmy and Joes coach, you won’t last long in college. As for Deion’s acumen, he was a great CB primarily because of his elite speed. I don’t know that he was ever any better than anyone else as far as being a technician.
