Earlier on Monday, it was reported that Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin will be hired to be the next head coach at Florida Atlantic.

Kiffin will stay with Alabama through the College Football Playoff, according to head coach Nick Saban.


Kiffin has served as Alabama's offensive coordinator for the past three seasons. Alabama will play Washington in the College Football Playoff on New Years Eve.

Lane will be a big fish in a little pond that is stacked with hot coeds. Program expectations are minimal. He can grow his salary there or perform well and move on to big money at another location. There are worse things in life than being head coach at FAU in Boca Raton. I mean, he could have ended up at Del Boca Vista Phase II.
