Carson Beck, a four-star quarterback from Jacksonville, Florida, decommitted from the Crimson Tide, both Rivals and 247Sports reported Monday night. Florida and Miami -- with former Alabama QB coach Dan Enos as offensive coordinator -- are considered top contenders for the Mandarin High School junior.

Beck told 247Sports he didn’t want to close off any opportunities by being committed anywhere at this point in the process. He made his pledge to Alabama last June.
Beck recently wrapped up a visit to Florida.
