We REALLY need to continue showing progress over the next 3 games, though. If we do that, we will take some momentum into the off season and lock down a really nice recruiting class. Perhaps the best we have had in a while.

No doubt. If we can finish 9-4 with a bowl win, it gives Kirby and Co. even more ammunition on the recruiting trail. Most recruits already love Kirby, and if we can point to an upward trend along with the ability to come in and compete for early PT, it could really help us close strong.

On the Coach Kirby Smart report this week with Jay Black (I think) on 750, Kirby called him "Chris Tucker"

Not sure how anyone can confuse the two - Mel Tucker still has a career.

I'm really excited about Hollowman.

Still? It came out 16 years ago and scored a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Absolutely but GT is far from a gimme win. They blew out Vandy whom we lost to but then got blown out by NC whom we beat. Hard to say how this game will go but I think we have the better defense and if Eason continues to progress, we should be OK.

The comment you made was directly addressing the roster as a whole and you said exactly what RD said you said.....about the roster. We all know that the 2013 roster had an impact on the roster, but you clearly said the "roster" was the worst since 1996. It does not matter why you think/thought that...but you said it.

Yes, I made the statement, but why does matter. I soon went into further detail about It, which y'all want to ignore for some reason. I guess it's not convenient for rd's narrative.

I was talking about the roster as we saw on the field, which was bad:

1. The OL couldn't protect our qb, and it often got whipped on the interior. Still had those issues.
2. Upperclassmen Db's were nothing special outside of a transfer from bama. Still the case.
3. Ledbetter wasn't playing, Now he is back. 4. It had chigbu and Stanley dropping passes, now Ridley and wims know what they are doing.
5. It had ham missing kicks, now goggles is good.
6. It had blaze and Jackson doing nothing special at te, now the 2 freshmen are taking the next step.
7. It had Briscoe getting burnt, now baker looks to be in position.
8. It had brand new Eason learning on the job, now he looks like a different qb with command of the huddle.
9. It had a ton of freshmen dl learning on the job, now they seem to be holding up.
10. It had 2 true sophomores starting their first games at mlb looking lost at times, now they seem to have a strong grasp on what it takes.

I'm not worried about 2017 defense.

For Christmas I want a David Andrews clone to emerge as the new center to solidify our offensive line for a few years. Is such a present somewhere on the horizon?

Ehh, their offense goes as the fullback dive goes. If we can't stop that play without overcommitting, it'll be a long day. Has to be Trent Thompson's best game of the season

FYI, I wasnt asking "why does it matter?" I stated "why does matter".

I never denied ever saying it as you incorrectly claim. I do say I dont remember saying it every time you bring it up. Its a key distinction. Take note of it.

Point remains, the "why does matter" because it justifies the statement I made that you are seemingly obsessed with, and no, its not obfuscating at all. If anything, its the opposite as I made specific comments about the talent and experience balance.

Actually, I don't think it does. I wasn't arguing with you that you made the statement. I just saw you say that you definitely did not, and remembered you saying it. I'm not real sure what you two were arguing about.

My point? I am tired of people acting like there is no talent on the roster, and Mark Richt didn't do his job the last 3-4 years he was here. We came an eyelash away from playing for a National Championship, and we have a very good, albeit young roster. MOST of the key players were recruited by Richt.

I also understand that we are thin at certain places and That should fall on Richt. But to act like we are "devoid" of talent as one poster put it...or that this is the "worst roster in history", as another poster put it....or even that this is the worst roster since 1996 is wrong. You usually don't shoot from the hip, but you did around that time, on a couple of occasions.

In fairness, neither RD nor you started it. You both just got caught up in it....as did I.

Will see soon enough. The difference between GT's offense and Auburn's is White is not really a running/super athletic QB and Justin Thomas definitely is. Thomas was Tech's leading rusher in their blowout win over Vandy.
