because there are no rules about how the ball is snapped.
So you dont think penalizing a team for being ready and snapping the ball is wrong?

The NCAA has changed at least 2 clock rules the last 10 years, so why would anyone be against another with the safety of the kids at heart? The rule will change nothing but make a safer game.
Safery advocates like Saban and BB should be thanked.

I find it ironic that they're focusing on "changing things that are an integral part of the game"
This rule does not affect the 25 second play clock.
The 40 second play clock ONLY CAME INTO EXISTENCE IN 2008.

what about the last two minutes of the 1st and 2nd half?
is safety not important then?

Nope. Bama games are usually all wrapped up by them with a Bama win. Arky games are usually wrapped up by then with an Arky loss. When the game is basically over, its best just to run the clock out.

Certainly players are more tired in the beginning of the halves

the rule not applying in the last 2 minutes of each half completely shits on any argument of "safety"

Auburn fans should be grateful tbh. Now you'll have an excuse for falling back to 5-7 and 6th place in the SEC west ahead of Mississippi State.

Eventually it will be changed then also.

After the Arky win, what are the other 4 wins?

the threat of doing so limited a defenses ability to sub... that will be gone now

Not reading through all of this, but has anyone pointed out Arkansas' relationship with ULM? The only reason ULM was able to stay in D1 was due to Arkansas allowing them to count games in Little Rock as home games for ULM. That was the only way to reach the minimum average for crowd size. ULM owes Arkansas a great deal and voting the way Arkansas wants is certainly possible.

Our slow pace will inflict so many injuries on your team you won't be able to finish the game..

Arky fans would still be looking up to both in the standings. Enjoy the #7...

Ungrateful bunch of safety haters. Thank God for heroes like Saban and BB who give us what we need, not what we want.

Obviously. Rules should've been enforced that no matter what Bama is the champ. Every year. Bama. Bow down.
