There's a reason for that part.

You're correct. I was in school full time and had at any given time 3 to 5 different jobs. I had to scale back and go with the better paying and less time consuming jobs. shite....September of 2010, I collected 12 different pay checks for work done in that month.

Now I only have one job. Salary + benefits >>>>>>> Freelance.

I had a Florida fan tell me that our 2000 raping of Spurrier in Starkville was because their 3rd string QB was playing. Their 3rd string QB was playing because we shite down their 1st and 2nd string QB.

I have little doubt that for a two week period in late September, early October, 2000, Mississippi State was the best team in the nation. That was the most surreal two weeks in MSU football history. Skulldrug Florida then held Rudi Johnson to 18 yards and Auburn without a first down for nearly three quarters.

Agreed with all of this.

I think MSU wins 8 games and loses 4 close ones.

Auburn will not beat MSU in Starkville this year. And if Ole Miss can beat Auburn and/or LSU, the Egg Bowl could really be for Atlanta this year.

Do you have downs?

If you are realistic about 2014 MSU and don't let past MSU come into play, you have to start at 8 wins and go up this year. The schedule is just too kind. Non-conference cupcakes all around and UK and Vandy from the East.

They could very well go 0-4 in those other 4 games. But they could go 2-2 as well.

Nope. Auburn will not beat MSU in Starkville.

I've said it the entire offseason. Auburn 2014 = MSU 2000. A better team than the year before, but no last minute wins. The three last minute wins Auburn had last year - Auburn will have to visit those road stadiums this year. Auburn will lose all three.

Throw in a road game in Oxford and a home game against LSU, and Auburn could very well be a 7-5 team this year, tops. They will lose the three games that they stole last year though. 9-3, 5-3 is the ceiling for Auburn.

I actually think our best shot out of the four is at LSU early on. They'll be throwing out a true freshman vs. what will likely be a top 3 SEC defense and a hungry Chris Jones. If Dak can give us 250-300+ yards combined, I think we have an excellent chance to break the streak. Especially if we go up early and send the fans home.

We're not scared of playing in front of cowbells

The only reason our game was close last year was because of how early it was in the season

Once we clicked later in the season, we were much better than you

And we will be much better than you this season. Even my MSU friends admit that. But the offseason is for these kinds of pipedreams so carry on

Louisiana HS Player of the Year, snubbed by LSU until the very end of his recruitment, gets the Tiger Stadium monkey off of State's back.

Sounds too good to be true. Hope it is, but Tiger Stadium is where maroon and white dreams go to die.

I think it's hilarious that there is an actual, serious conversation going on in this thread that the Egg Bowl could decide the West. At least it's entertaining.

I'll answer this honestly and you can decide how douchebaggy you want to respond.

Does any Ole Miss or MSU fan actually believe this will happen? Lol, no. Is it, for the first time in my memory, a possibility? Yes. Both return Top 3 SEC QBs, and top tier SEC defenses. With some 2013 Auburn luck, both teams could be in contention for the West. Yes, both teams would have to beat Bama for that to happen, which I'm 99% sure won't happen, but crazy shite happens and I'm not sure why people continue to snicker at things that they know are a possibility. Like I said, will it happen? Highly, highly unlikely because of both our OL's, but for you to snicker at the idea, just shows me what kind of fan you are. Try to look outside of just Bama. We get it, y'all are great, but even y'all have some question marks this year. The West is down this year and it's left a small crack for teams like MSU and Ole Miss to make a run. But post what you gotta post...whatever makes your day better.

You are right, stating that the fourth best defense from last year that returns all of its key players improving to the top three is laughable.

I honestly believe a lot of posters on tRant have no idea about any team outside their own.

Besides Bert, you didn't blow out anyone in the West, or even win by more than a touchdown. Don't put the shite pile of Eastern failures on everyone else.

If we played MSU last game of the season it wouldn't have been close, and only a delusional state fan would disagree with that
