thanks.

But I would say people who didn't attend university are usually less educated and have less going on in their lives. Ex. Treekiller.

As a result they have nothing to live for except for their team and their happiness really does depend on how their team does as a result.

That is very true. But they dont have the connection that I have with the school I graduated from. Its not thier fault but they didnt go to the classes and walk the halls. They didnt spend summers at the pools and at drinking specials making friends for life. They chose a different path and thats fine...but they dont feel what I feel for my school.

That is with the school, not the football team.

And they don't feel what you feel. But the team could still mean more to them.

It doesn't really say either.

But yes, those who did not attend, in general probably don't support the academic side of the school like those who do.

To me fan implies athletics.

Actual sidewalk fans don't bother me for the most part, as long as they grew up in the state and aren't douchebags. Everyone needs sidewalk fans.

The following scenario is what pisses me off: someone grows up rooting for a certain team, and when it comes time to go to college they don't have the grades to get into their favorite school. So they go to a different school and still root for their childhood school, even though said school shunned them and their current school embraced them.

Those people can go frick themselves. If they were such big fans of the school they would have made sure they had the grades to get in instead of fricking off. We deal with this shite sometimes with students from Texas.

I agree with you on this and you are right that we deal with that from our Texas kids but NOT MOST of them ... I'd say a few.

Most fully support Ole Miss or support Ole Miss and Texas, but pull for Ole Miss against Texas.

The one I know and am friends with that pull that shite and are Texas fans through and through almost piss me off to the point I don't want to be their friends anymore(not really but almost) and I let them know that regularly, almost violently as well.

I agree that not many do this, but the few that do are a disgrace.

The younger fans, 10-18 year olds that aren't super geniuses but have always loved one team...do they fall into the sidewalk category?

What about guys that join the military out of high school, sidewalk?

And a few LSU people too. If you couldn't get into Bama or LSU, but come to Ole Miss and still openly pull for your old teams, then you can get fricked with an AIDS dick.
