Let me guess, if not the Death Penalty then it's going to be 5 year bowl ban and 50 scholarships over 4, right?

I say this in jest but there are morons who actually think that's what it would be.

I definitely think since your case is unprecedented then the punishment will be as well. Y'all will get the LOIC because if you don't then it just sends the message to everyone else that your behaviors were tolerable. 3 year bowl ban at minimum. I'm sure DeltaDoc has many informed friends and I'm sure one of his friends told him what OM is HOPING for. They will not go easy on you. I imagine a scenario where y'all are the woman with Munchhauzens who killed to of her infant children and the NCAA is like Cole from the first season of True Detective. After they play y'all and get all they want they will tell you it's probably best to go "Full Jim Jones."

If that's it, I think they get off easy.

I agree, it basically puts them where they were b4 they ante upped.

If I'm a perennial bottom feeder I'm liking the Ole Miss plan. Worst case scenario you get in a nice little run, bank millions and when/if you get caught... back to where you were going to be in the first place.

They'll be at least on par with the USC punishment. I don't believe this.

I am a LSU fan and consider the Rebels as a rival. I have a BIG problem if the NCAA hits Ole Miss with a 25 reduction over 4 years and a 2 year bowl ban and does not shut down North Carolina's COMPLETE athletic department for 1-2 years.

No its not. That's going to set them and their recruiting back even further than it already is. A penalty like that would set any team back. You have 25 less players on scholarship by the 4th season...that's extremely detrimental in any conference but especially the sec where quality depth comes into play. That's 60 scholarship players instead of 85 like everyone else. That makes you hit on damn near every player you recruit to contribute and produce. Now take into consideration injuries etc with a roster. Then, you have to consider that they won't be pulling in top talent to oxford either without cheating so the players you do have on schollies aren't so great. It's going to be bad. Don't kid yourself.

That plus the upper classman can transfer with multi year bowl ban.

Ironically, Shea may never play in a bowl game in Oxford.

I think the bowl ban is going to be 2 or more years for this very reason.

OM self imposed a bowl in a year it is unlikely to make one, just depends if the NCAA accepts this as punishment as it enables them to skirt players transferring out, just depends on how much flesh they intend to take really.

Unprecedented? Total of $37,000?

And your coach didn't report the $180,000 offer from CammieCam when your coach was in the room when the Rev. made the offer?

Yeah, that's unprecedented.

They are still more realistic than the black bears who said there were no major infractions and this would blow over.

The NCAA will stop just short of giving OM the death penalty.

From a pretty credible source it was a whole lot more than that if everything had been discovered.

It is pretty funny that Ole Miss fans still bring up Cam Newton. Let me know when Hollywood makes a movie about another school giving illegal benefits to recruits and the NCAA still does nothing about it. Kind of like the Micheal Oher movie from a few years ago
