2 year bowl ban and 25 scholarships is the high end of the spectrum. That's what the investigators are pushing for.
We are probably going to fight and want 1 year 15/3.
what kind of bargaining power do you think you have

quote:I've posted it several times, but it's like someone on the NCAA investigative team was on a mission to nail y'all. IMHO, they had enough in the first NOA to hand down serious sanctions, it covered multiple sports and the academic fraud.
The investigation was completed until Laremy Tunsil got into a fight with his step Dad. He gives 50+ hours of testimony. First NOA comes out. Investigation calms down.
Draft night happens. Investigation reopens. Nothing, exactly nothing, is found on Tunsil. To save face NCAA goes to players OM recruited but didn't get. Then second NOA comes out.
But the instigator's acted like a woman scorned, and the Tunsil stuff just set them off. They wanted true blood from the football program so they went to the extremes to gather information to build a damaging case so that they could nail y'all with LOIC and Failure to Monitor.

But wouldn't rhis logical mean that they would cross lines and play in the grey area to get the information they wanted? What if they couldn't find anything? What if there wasn't much to find?
Just play along for a second. Wouldn't that fit the narrative that OM has been saying the entire time? (Yes I realize this is highly unlikely).

The moment this phrase is uttered in a discussion is when it's time to shut it down.
It's the go-to for conspiracy nuts. "I mean, there's no proof that it DIDN'T happen, so it's possible."

Except in this came the national media has been running with information that hasn't exactly been true. The day in age of click bait articles has made this situation go off the rails when it shouldn't have.

How so? I think OM has gotten very light treatment from the media.
Ask any other fan from any other school how they would expect to be covered if they received 20+ Level 1 allegations. If Georgia was in OMs place, would the AJC go months and months without reporting on the investigation? Would they just release the talking points issued to them from Uga?

Hell no, not even close.
Certain national media "personalities" have had a target for Freeze because of the way he handles his faith. It hasn't helped things. Not to mention people don't read the NOAs, see all the lvl 1s and don't realize that OM gets to argue them and that day is still months away. All the PR has been from the NCAA with OM just sitting back and taking it. I wouldn't have played it like that but we have cards to play, we have just decided to wait until the COI to play them.
And by "Shouldn't have" I mean articles like:
"OM with 20 Lvl 1 violations", with no "alleged" and no mention that OM gets to fight these allegations. The investigators can say literally whatever they want but we still get to fight the information and they have to prove to some degree what they are alleging.

That shouldn't even be the point anymore. It's time for OM to start their Eric Stratton speech from Animal House: If we're out of order, then the whole damn system is out of order.....and we're not gonna sit here while you run down the US of A!
I can't wait for the hearing

You are seriously dilusional. You seem like you're going to get crushed when the penalty comes down. You may want to just ease your way into the reality of this shite storm ole miss is in.

They have to recruits when they claimed it was all from the previous staff in the first NOA. Actually, they've lied so much it's hard to tell truth from lies. They self imposed a bowl ban after initially saying all is well and we can't wait to tell our story. Come on man.

I would be worried like hell if this happened to lsu.

I know this but the fact they sent out a report that summarized every violation in the amended NOA and commented nothing was from draft night, and the summary of the amended NOA backs that up, it seems like a pretty reliable statement. It isn't like their is no evidence to back it up. There is...

Just curious, where are you getting your information on the OM NCAA investigation? Because if you haven't read the first NOA, OM's response, the summary to the amended NOA and stopped to think about it then you can go frick yourself. Have a nice day.

Hahaha. Listen, you're side has been lying through this whole investigation. Kinda looks like you're trying to cover shite up and hide it. Then you get draft night and they dig more and uncover more. Then you're athletic dept concedes a little and self imposes bowl ban and scholly reductions. Looks like they're feeling guilty and know they have to try and save face after getting caught in a lie. Self imposing a soft penalty and praying the ncaa will accept it because they know they have no bargaining power. Gtfo kid, people arent stupid like you think. You just live in an ole miss fantasy land.
