They can't even tolerate the 3-4 game losing at the end of this season

LSU is not the job you think it is. No top coach is going to to leave thier current job to take the LSU one.

LSU is the 12th winningest program in FCS history and a top 5 program since 2000. GTFO of here with LSU not being a top job in the country.

Texas is one of the winningest programs in the country too and 2x the job LSU is and look what they were left hiring...

Agree
LSU has a much higher probability of getting a worse coach. However, with this much fan apathy. A change is needed. For better or worse.

Disagree. LSU is one of the best jobs in the country. You get one of the best recruiting states in the country all to yourself basically. Plenty of money, fan support, and prestige. Highly underrated coaching job, imo.

I agree it's a great job, but I don't think a power 5 coach in a good situation would leave an easier path to the playoff to come scrap it out in the sec west every year. Also, lsu fans have extremely high expectations at this point. They want a coach who can recruit top 5, and beat alabama at least half the time. Why would a jimbo fisher leave fsu for that? It'll have to be an up and Comer looking for his shot at the big time.

How do you define "2x the job" LSU is in gumpville?
I'm genuinely curious.

Since the Big12 was formed (1994 I think) UT has 3 conference titles and 1 BCSNC.

Since the SEC expanded (1992) LSU has 4 conference titles and 2 BCSNC's.

Both teams have had 10 seasons with 10 or more wins.

But but but....UT has more money than God.

We appreciate the interest of bama fans in who coaches at LSU.
But just remember, you idiots hired Mike Dubose, Dennis Franchione and Mike Shula.
Not to mention you lucked into your current coach that LSU discovered when he was toiling away as the coach of Michigan's little brother.

There is an advantage being in a weak conference now, but once Big 12 gets 12 teams and a conference game (this is inevitable) then people are gonna want to be in a strong conference again.

I'm curious to know why you believe LSU isn't the job we think it is.

(Outside the obvious fact that you are a biased Alabama fan)

How do you define "2x the job"

-Better facilities
-Better recruiting area (even having to compete with other Texas schools)
-More money (even though you're only going to pay so much to a coach)
-Better fans (don't leave in the third quarter of every game they're losing)
-Better tradition
-One of the nine blueblood programs.
-Easier path to playoffs
-Don't have to play Alabama every year.

Ahhhh.....OK.

Your definition is subjective and mine involves actual facts and results.

All you stated was conference and national titles won in the last ~20 years. Does little to show which is a better job, which Texas is.

Take the purple and gold glasses off if you think LSU is on the same level.

Is jimbo an "LSU guy" ie an alum/player?

Other than that I can't see one single reason he would leave for LSU, there just isn't one really.

No coach that has a safe job at the top program in their conference will walk into the meat grinder that is the SEC west.

Most agents would advise against it. You can only last so long in the west.

OC/QB coach. His son gets treated for a medical condition in Louisiana.

Another Bama fan desperate to see LSU keep Les Miles. What a surprise. When your enemies want you to keep your coach, it's time to get rid of him.
